Montenegro proclaimed itself “the first ecological state of the world”, with a strong focus on sustainable tourism. In the whole territory of Montenegro there are approximately 20,000 campsites, many of which are near the beaches.

Natural and Culturo-Historical Region of Kotor is UNESCO World heritage site. During the Middle Ages, the natural port of Kotor was an important center, artistic and commercial. The earthquake of 1979 damaged seriously a large number of monuments, including four Romanesque churches and city walls, largely restored with the help of UNESCO.
Durmitor National Park is located in the North of Montenegro; here, an ideal place for campers is the village of Zabljak, at 1465 meters above sea level, in the heart of the park, where you can go trekking, climbing, practice winter sports and rafting on the Tara River, where is the deepest canyon in Europe.
