Port of PESCARA

The port of Pescara is located on the Adriatic coast of Italy, at the mouth of the Pescara river. In Roman times the port played an important role, but only began to take its current form at the beginning of the twentieth century, when a canal port was built to allow large boats to enter in a safer and easier way, because the seabed at the mouth of the river was shallow and only met the needs of the fishermen. Today the port of Pescara is no longer used for commercial activities, but is dedicated to boarding and disembarking passengers.

How to reach the port of Pescara

The port is easily reachable by all modes of transport.
