terms and conditions

With the purchase of a ferry ticket, a transport contract between the shipping company (carrier) and the passenger begins. The person who assumes the responsibility to transport is therefore the carrier. NetFerry SRL operates as a travel agency, and therefore acts as an intermediary between the customer and the carrier. In the case of incorrect, total or partial non-fulfillment of the transport service, the liability lies solely with the carrier.
According to Article 22 of the Brussels Convention of 23.04.1970, where the travel agency acts as an intermediate between the carrier and the passenger, any liability for the non-fulfillment of the transport contract is excluded (dir.mar 1998, 1094 of the Civil Code 23.04.1997 n.3504). Furthermore, the travel agency does not cover the tour operators or subjects as defined in the legislative decree n.111 from 1995 then modified into the legislative decree n. 206 from 2005. No responsibility can be attributed to NetFerry SRL.

RESERVATIONS

The reservation is binding, in case of cancellation and / or changes to a reservation, penalties will be applied, as well as a fixed fee of 25.00 EUR. Failure to pay within the specified period (for short-term departures payment must be received immediately) this will result in the cancellation of the reservation. Once you have received the confirmation statement, please check it carefully, to ensure that it corresponds to your request, and promptly notify us of any discrepancies.

GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR MARITIME COMPANIES

The purchase of the maritime ticket implies that the customer accepts the general shipping conditions of the company. These conditions can be viewed on our website www.netferry.com in the FERRY OPERATORS section. Please find some important conditions that apply to all companies below:

The carrier will comply with the planned travel program, however, in the event of unforeseen circumstances, for example, even minor failures, force majeure, staff strike, vessel stop for shipping credits, the ferry operator reserves the right to change schedules or replace a ship with another even without notice. In the case of cancellation of a trip for which the carrier is directly responsible, the carrier will transfer passengers and vehicles to other shipping companies, or provide a total reimbursement of the unused ticket. In the event of a major increase in fuel costs, a surcharge may be payable for fuel price adjustment, which may be collected directly at the boarding office on the day of departure or by the travel agency during the booking. Departure and arrival times are expressed in local time and may be subject to change without notice. The arrival time indicates the time of entry into the port and not the actual docking of the ship to the quay.

TICKET DELIVERY

The travel documents can be collected directly at the boarding office on the day of departure, just present the voucher you received by e-mail after payment of the reservation. You can then obtain the actual tickets for travel, based on the booking number you were provided on the voucher. Tickets can alternatively be sent by courier (shipping time about 3/4 working days) for a cost of € 12.00. The NETFERRY Booking Center is not responsible for any missed or delayed deliveries due to postal transport errors.

DISPOSALS FOR BOARDING

Collecting tickets at the boarding office of the shipping company must be made at least 2 hours before departure and 3 hours before boarding with vehicles on the deck. Otherwise, the shipping company is free to dispose of the reservation without refund. For passengers who bring camping equipment, the use of propane gas, other cooking fuels or heating a vehicle is forbidden during the entire duration of the journey for safety reasons. At check-in you must present a valid identification document. For this reason, we also encourage passengers to check up-to-date information at police headquarters, embassies or consulates of the destination country. For the expatriation of a vehicle, the following documents are required: a driving license, vehicle registration and insurance contract (including Green Card). If the vehicle is not owned by the driver, the driver must obtain the appropriate authenticated proxy for taking the vehicle overseas, in accordance with the law. The expatriation of minors is possible as long as the minor has an identity card, passport and any other appropriate document.

CANCELLATIONS, VARIATIONS, REFUNDS

Passengers with a maritime ticket who want to cancel the reservation for any reason must send an email request to us, penalties will be applied to the cancellation of the ticket, plus a fixed fee of 25.00 euros. Any change to the booking entails a fixed fee of € 25.00 plus penalties and can only be requested by email (info@netferry.com). Refunds will be made within 3 months from the date of refund request and the penalty statement will be issued within 10 days of the same date. There are no refunds for special offer bookings.
