Getting to and from Newhaven passenger ferry terminal

Foot passengers can reach the terminal on the train from the town centre by train. The trains leave from Newhaven Town to New Haven Harbor every 10-15 minutes and take less than 2 minutes! To get to Newhaven from London, take a train to Brighton from London Bridge or Victoria Station and then in Brighton change on to Southern Rail on a train to New Haven Harbor. In total, the journey time is around 1 hour 30-45.

By car, it is around a two-hour drive from London; from Newhaven centre, it is less than ten minutes. The nearest international airport is Gatwick Airport, just less than an hour’s drive. On foot, you take a train to Brighton; then the Gatwick express straight to the airport; the journey is just over one hour.
