Camping on Board (COB) is a service offered by some companies for motorhome travellers:

• The motorhome is positioned on an open deck of the ship

• Electrical hook-up (220V) provided on board

• You can access your motorhome during the crossing and sleep in it

• You pay the deck passage fare + the vehicle fare, with no need for a cabin

Availability:

• Period: usually from 1 April to 31 October

• Typical routes: Italy–Greece, Genoa–Olbia/Porto Torres, Brindisi–Vlorë, some routes to the Balearics

• Limited places: they sell out quickly, book well in advance

• By phone: call +39 0831 564 257. Some companies require manual confirmation, especially where places are limited

When to book:

• For the summer season (June–September), book at least 3–4 months in advance

• For very busy routes, even 5–6 months in advance
