Port of POOLE
Poole Harbour is the second biggest in the world! There are two ferry ports in the town of Poole, Poole Quay Landing, for local ferries and Poole Ferry Terminal, near Hamworthy Park that serves international ferries. Facilities at the terminal include a baby change room, bureau de change, café, snack bar, shop, shuttle bus for foot passengers, payphones, showers and dogs on a lead are allowed in the port area but not inside the terminal building.
Getting to and from Poole ferry terminal
Poole Passenger terminal is less than a ten-minute drive from the town centre. On foot, the journey should take you less than 20 minutes. From London, take the train from Waterloo Station straight to Poole. From the town centre, you can either walk, take a taxi a bus to the terminal.
The nearest airport is Bournemouth, which is about 8 miles from Poole, where there are bus connections to the town, and tickets cost between 3 and 7 euros. It takes about 3 hours to get to both London airports, Heathrow and Gatwick and you can get Poole port by bus or train.
