Port of THIRA (SANTORINI)
The main port on Santorini is Athinios and it has only one passenger terminal. The port connects the island with Piraeus and other Greek islands. The port is about 19 km from Oia, 9 km from Fira and about 9 km from Akrotiri. The port area of Athinios is a bit isolated because it is located at the foot of a cliff on the coast, however there are bars and cafés.
The port is well served by bus lines that lead to various locations on the island in case you do not want to take the taxi or don't have a car. Santorini Airport is about 8km from Athinios port and can be reached by bus. The line is not direct, you must first take a bus to Thira and then another one to the port of Athinios.
