How to reach the port of Civitavecchia

The port of Civitavecchia is connected to the Rome underground and to the transport network of the capital by the Lazio regional railway, line FR5 Rome-Civitavecchia. The Civitavecchia train station (Forte Michelangelo) is about 500 meters from the port. In addition to taxis, a free shuttle service is available, run by Royal Bus, which connects the train station to the Autostrade del Mare terminal. They run every 20 minutes between 05.30 and 2300. In addition to being connected to the railway system through the Turin-Genoa-Pisa-Rome-Naples-Reggio Calabria lines, with branches in Pisa for Florence-Bologna and Grosseto for Siena-Chiusi, Civitavecchia is connected directly to the entire European railway network through the Rome-Turin-Ventimiglia-Narbonne-La Coruña lines towards Brenner.
