Port of LE HAVRE

Le Havre is on the north coast of France, where the river Seine reaches the English Channel. The passenger ferry terminal is quite close to the city centre. Just south of the Natural History Museum. The small terminal contains including toilets, vending machines for coffee and snacks, a baby change room. Muzzled dogs on a lead are allowed in all areas of the port. The building is wheelchair-accessible, and there are disabled toilets, the shuttle bus has a wheelchair ramp, and there is disabled parking in front of the terminal and wheelchairs are available in case of emergencies.

Getting to and from the ferry terminal

Getting to the ferry is very accessible for both passengers with cars and foot passengers, as its only 1.7 km from the centre. Foot passengers can get to the centre or the train station on foot; it’s around a 20-minute walk. Alternatively, there are taxis available outside the terminal it costs approximately €7 to get to the train station and €10 to get to the city centre. The train station connects with Paris, taking just over two hours. Some ferry companies provide free shuttle buses, which take passengers to the train station in around only 5 minutes and there are bus stops near the entrance of the port. There are also public bus stops near the opening of the port, take buses marked 'Centre Ville' into the town centre, which is around 10 minutes away.

Drivers should follow signs for 'Terminal de Citadelle' and 'Ferries'. Paris is around 200 km away and to get there, cross the Pont du Normandie toll bridge takes you into Normandy, past Honfleur. Go east on the A131 to join the A13 that goes direct to Paris. The port car park is available for both short and long-stay parking, but vehicles are parked at the owner's risk. 

The nearest airport is Le Havre - Octeville Airport (LEH / LFOH), but it only has domestic flights and is 6 km from the centre of Le Havre, France. Another major airport is Deauville - Saint-Gatien Airport (DOL / LFRG), which has international flights and is 34 km from Le Havre, France.
